This disc covering the complete period of the collection 1974 to 2010 contains 418 portraits of drivers from Acheson (Kenny) to Zunino (Ricardo).
Many are multiple world champions and household names (Emerson Fittipaldi and Ayrton Senna), whilst some may only have been entered for a single race (Dave Morgan).
There are those who failed to qualify (Stephen South, Volker Weidler) and those who failed to pre-qualify (Claudio Langes – possibly the least successful Formula One driver ever).
Regardless of degree of success they all have one thing in common. They are all in the history books as being entered as drivers in the top level of motorsport and that is a feat in itself setting them apart from the rest of us.
The title photograph is of possibly the most recognised Formula One driver, Ayrton Senna taken in 1990, the season he would regain the world championship from Alain Prost.
